

Which conditions for a host family?

Have at least one child under 13 years old living at home full-time.

Reside legally in Belgium.

Ensure each family member provides a clean criminal record.

Provide the Au Pair with a private room, access to shared spaces, meals, and a safe, welcoming environment.

Be able to communicate in one of Belgium's official languages

Ensure the Au Pair is enrolled in a recognized language course (region-dependent) and allow time for attendance.

Provide the Au Pair with a monthly allowance of 450 Euros.

Ensure the Au Pair works a maximum of 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week.

Provide health insurance that covers medical care, hospitalization, and repatriation for the au pair

Provide full board and lodging.

Assist the Au Pair in discovering Belgian culture.

Allow social inspectors to visit and interview the Au Pair.
