The HostpairConnection collects personal data from Host Families and Au Pairs solely for the purpose of providing au pair placement services. This may include names, addresses, contact details, identification documents, references, and other information required to facilitate the placement process. We do not publish Host Family information on our website. Profiles are only shared with Au Pair candidates who we deem relevant matches for the family.

The Personal data provided will be used for:

Assessing and processing applications of Host Families and Au Pairs.

Facilitating the matching and placement process.

Preparing required documents for contracts, visa applications, and municipal registrations.

Providing support and mediation services during the placement.

Sharing of Data

Personal data will be shared only with relevant third parties ( with consent ) such as; immigration authorities, insurance providers, language schools,  where necessary for the placement process.

Data will not be sold or shared for commercial purposes outside the scope of the placement services.

By registering with the HPC, the Host Family and the Au Pair agree that their personal data may be            processed in line with Belgian and EU data protection laws (GDPR).

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), both Host Families and Au Pairs are data subject with full GDPR rights regarding their personal data:

• Access personal data; You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data; Rectify – Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data if HostPairConnection has made an error during registration.

• You have the right to ask our agency to delete  data once its no longer needed for replacement.

• You can always have right to object  to certain processing of your personal data.

• Data Portability – You can request that your personal data be transferred to another organization or provided to you in a usable format, where applicable.

In the course of our activities, we occasionally collect and process personal data that relates to third parties. All third-party data handled securely, used only for the stated purposes, and never for marketing.
